Lena Chantal Bishop (nee: Deveau), age 73 of Bedford passed away August 31, 2019 in the Coronary Care Unit of the QEII, Halifax. Born in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of Louis (Alphonse) and Pauline Deveau.
She retired from Hewlet Packard Canada Limited after 32 dedicated years of service in both Halifax/Dartmouth and Ottawa. Every year she anxiously looked forward to spending her winters in Madeira Beach, Florida and socializing with the crowd at Gulf Gardens. When in Halifax, she enjoyed the camaraderie of the ladies from Curves and their frequent social gatherings and weekly coffee dates.
She is survived by her mother, Pauline Deveau; son, Mark Bishop (Charity Kaizer) of Hammonds Plains; step daughter, Jennifer Swinwood (Jeff Gaul) of Ottawa; brother, Marcel Deveau (Janet) and brother, Paul Deveau (Bonny); grandchildren, Braden, Olivia, and Wesley, and affectionately known as “Nana Lee” to her grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) Swinwood and her father, Louis Deveau.
