Leslie Ann Thomey

Thomey(Beaton)Leslie Ann-31 passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on February 25, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Brendan John(BJ) and loving mother of her two boys Joey and Gabe. Leslie was a graduate of Halifax West, Mt. St. Vincent and St. FX, where she received her Bachelor of Education. She was actively involved in playing soccer throughout her school years and continued as a coach in her teaching career. However, Leslie would prefer to be remembered for her teaching ability in the classroom where it was generally recognized that she had a unique ability to relate to her students with her sense of humour and genuine concern for them. Leslie is also survived by her parents Fred and Sharon(Lukeman)Beaton and her two brothers Colin(Calgary) and Neil(Toronto), along with her many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who will all miss her deeply. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 6-8pm in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Hfx where a Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 4 at 2pm. Burial will be in Antigonish at a later date. Family flowers only, an Educational Trust Fund for her children will be established in her memory.
