

Lillian spent her working years as a seamstress at J&M Murphy and later was a waitress at the Starlite Restaurant at Bayer’s Road Shopping Centre. She was a member of the ACW of St. James Anglican Church in Halifax and a loyal member of the LOBA. Lillian loved entertaining and always welcomed friends and family in her home for wonderful meals, celebrations and lots of card games.
She was a much loved Aunt to many nieces and nephews and beloved “Nanny Dodge” to those she chose to be her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with her parents Lillian was predeceased by Philip, her loving husband of more than 60 years; sisters Dulcie, Mary and Aletha Pope; and god daughter Sandra Crant. Leaving behind to mourn are her sister Lovetta Sitek, Edmonton, AB; brother Larry Pope, Halifax, NS; her caring niece Donna Dodge Halloway, all her nieces, nephews, their families, and her friend and caregiver Maureen Smith.
Cremation will take place in the care of J.A. Snow Funeral Home. A service adhering to Covid restrictions will take place and she will rest alongside her beloved Philip in the columbarium at St. James Anglican Church, Halifax.
