She was the daughter of the late Catherine Fletcher and the late Earl Dorrington of Beechville , NS. Linda was raised by her aunt the late Edna Williams (Munroe) Beechville and the late Deacon Lawrence Williams of Preston NS. She spent an abundance of time with her grandmother (Granny)the Late Annie Fletcher(Munroe) and grandfather the late Ralph Fletcher of Beechville. Linda was a home body and loved to relax with a bag of chips and Pepsi and enjoying a papa Burger while watching her hockey games and curling and not to mention crocheting and never missing a stitch while she watched on tv, yelling at the players as if she was in the arena . Linda had a fond love for her home town of Beechville. She will forever be remembered as Beechville Historian ,and nickname the midwife by her brother-in-law. Her memory was very sharp. She could recall all the elders and their ages and where they lived in Beechville. She loved to reminisce and tell the stories of growing up with her siblings and friends. Linda was loved by all who knew her for her beautiful smile . As we children say don’t let that smile fool you . All whom knew her said growing up she was kind hearted and wouldn’t think twice to give the shirt off her back and help anyone in need. She was fearless of no one ,and all she had to do was to give you the eye and a warning then the gloves went on. She had many friends growing up , as she said She loved going house to house, visiting and enjoying tea and cake while listening to music and dancing in their kitchens. As we all know sometimes the tea was real strong. Her strongest quality was never giving up on her faith in God . one of her favourite sayings was if God‘s willing. She was very proud of her sisters and brothers and spoke of them with praise and remembering them as her siblings. And never spoke of them as being half or whole. As she spent every day, enjoying their phone calls and many laughs ,She shared with them as she described telling and reminiscing old stories that would put her into laughing fits ,wetting herself. But she always said what can I say! I have a funny hilarious crazy Family and they are all mine and I wanna go out this world the same way I grew up with them always spending enjoyable laughing moments with them. Our mother never complained about anything she took whatever life had to offer her. If she had pain, she never showed it. Our mother asked nothing of this world, and as we witness the confirmation of her body Jesus took her hand into eternity. She took nothing from this world all she left behind was her memory and her love .
