Born in Halifax, Lloyd was a long time employee of the Halifax Grain Elevator. He was the son of the late Earl (Beatrice) Westhaver and Nellie Westhaver.
Surviving are sons, Gordie (Beverly) Smith, Harrietsfield; Roger (Heather) Smith, Halifax; brothers Robert (Rita) Westhaver, Hubbards, Terry, Hubbards, sister Joanne Westhaver, Hubbards; grandchildren Michael, James, Natasha, Tammy, Lloyd and Dawn; many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his lifelong companion Elva Smith, daughter Helen Jean (Michael) Marr and sister Nancy (John) Simundson.
Visitation will be held January 1 from 2-4 and 6-8pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax with funeral service Thursday January 2, 2020, at 10:00 am in J.A. Snow Funeral Home Chapel.
