

Born in Yarmouth on July 24, 1940. He was the son of Edward and Zella Crowell.
Tom worked at the Grand Hotel in his younger years. Then started a career spanning with Sobey‘s for 45 years. His love of baseball allowed him to organize many baseball teams with Sobeys. He loved the Blue Jays and spent many winters at the training facility in Florida. Other past times included following the Moosehead’s and was a season-ticket holder. He loved quiet time at the cottage, four wheeling, and going for walks with his wife, and fur baby Shelby.
Tom is survived by his sisters Mary, Betty and Patsy. His wife Gloria (Smith) of 64 years, daughter, Lynda (Osborn) son, Richard Crowell, grandchildren, Renee (Matt), Matthew Thomas (Elise), Jamie (Kim) Lindsey and Ryan, great grandchildren, Chase, Breea, Avery, Landon Thomas, Hayden, Eugene, and baby Rylee. Tom is predeceased by son Kevin in infancy, brothers Edward, Bobby and sister Anna Mae.
Memorial service will be held at JA, Snow, Funeral home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax, on Thursday January 11, at 2 PM. Burial at a later date.
