

Lorraine passed away at the Veteran’s Memorial Hospital in Halifax. Born in Evanston, Cape Breton, she eventually moved to Halifax where she lived the remainder of her life. In her earlier years she worked for Canada Packers, the Stanfield family and various other restaurants. She then dedicated her life being a loving mother and grandmother to her family.
Lorraine leaves behind her son, Daniel (JoAnne); daughter, Karen (Steve); step-sons, Kevin (Tina) and Rod (Donna); grandsons, Evan and Tayler (Kezi); and step-grandchildren; siblings, James, Gerald, Eddy, Harold, Stella, Ellen Hilda and Joan. Predeceased by parents, Billy James and Clara McNamara; brothers, Michael, Maurice and Billy.
On behalf of our family, thanks to all our family and friends who have been there for Mom. Special thanks to Dr. Morash, the nurses and all the staff at 3 East Geriatrics of the Veteran’s Memorial for the respect and kindness shown to during her stay there.
Visitation Monday, September 25 from 6-8 pm at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, September 26 at 10:30 am at Saint Benedict Parish, Halifax. Committal Wednesday, September 27, Grantville Cemetery, Cape Breton.
