Lovitt Albert Nickerson

NICKERSON, Lovitt Albert (Sonny), Clark's Harbour, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2013 at QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax with his special daughter by his side. Born August 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Norman & Marion Nickerson. He is survived by his special friends who were like children, Valerie Alexander (Newell), Halifax and Troy "Tweet" Newell, Beaverdam; nephews Shawn, Skipper and Brian and many friends. He will be miss by his fur children Storm and Macy. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Mary Swim and Margaret Sears and niece Paulette. Sonny worked as a lobster fisherman in his earlier days and then a fish plant, until he retired. Sonny loved to help others in his quirky ways and always with a grin. He had a heart of Gold. He loved spending time with his dogs, many friends, playing cards at the haven, hanging out at Ernie's and Baker's garages, spending time at his cottage in Upper Clyde, hunting for deer and riding his four-wheeler. As per Sonny's request, there will be no visitation or service and cremation has taken place under the direction of J. A. Snow Funeral Home.
