

VALLEE, Marc Edouard – 24. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving son Marc, on July 24, 2010 at the VG Hospital, Halifax, surrounded by his loving family and friends after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Calgary AB, May 3, 1986, Marc was the eldest son of Richard and Anne (Gillis) Vallee of Timberlea, NS.
An honours graduate (Physics) of Mount Allison University, Marc was enrolled in a Masters Degree program specializing in Medical Physics at McMaster University, Hamilton ON, at the time of his death. Marc eagerly shared his infectious smile and love of life with everyone he met but most especially with the love of his life, Celia Robichaud, Moncton NB.
He is also survived by brothers Stephen and Alain, at home, maternal grandmother, Bernadette (McPhee) Gillis, Antigonish, uncles and aunts, Jack and Ida Gillis, Egypt, Bob and Dorothy Gillis, Hatchet Lake, Joe and Yvette Gillis, Tantallon, Paul Gillis, Saudi Arabia, Mary MacDougall, Greg Gillis, Peter and Bonnie Gillis, all of Antigonish, Michael Gillis, Halifax, Mike and Tammy Vallee, Gatineau QC, and Don and Sylvie Race, Fredericton NB, 27 caring and supportive cousins. Marc was predeceased by paternal grandparents Leo and Edith Vallee and maternal grandfather Gerald Gillis.
Visitation will be held Tuesday July 27, 2-4 and 7-9pm, J A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 11am, Sacred Heart Church, 1714 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Timberlea, Father James Richards officiating. Family flowers only by request.
