

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and special aunt. Theresa’s peaceful passing took place at home on Thursday February 26, 2015 after a lengthy struggle with Dementia. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Tynan) Mulrooney. She is survived by her siblings; brother Frank and sister Rita (Norm) Brousseau, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her sister Marion (Patrick) Falvey, brothers Ed, John (Stevella), Gerald and Terry. Theresa was the executive assistant for her brother, Dr. Gerald Mulrooney, Optometrist, Contact Lens Diplomat. She had deep faith and a lifelong commitment to the Catholic Church attending St. Agnes Parish for the past sixty years. Theresa was a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent, receiving her BSc Degree in Secretarial Science. She enjoyed playing badminton, reading, playing the piano and bowling in various Church leagues. Theresa loved to travel and enjoyed her trips to Europe, many visits to New York for the Broadway Plays and Fort Lauderdale for the sunshine. She also treasured many wonderful days at the cottage watching her nieces and nephews progress in their swimming instructions. We will be forever grateful to the VONs, Northwood Homecare, Always Home Homecare and Bayshore Home Health who have provided care and support during Theresa’s illness. A special thank-you to Dr.Ernie Johnson and Shelly Sampson who went that extra mile. Visitation will be Wednesday March 11, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Snow's Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes Church, Mumford Road with Rev. Paul Morris officiating on Thursday March 12 at 10:00 AM. Internment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Sackville, immediately following. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
