

A long time member of the North West Senior Club, also a Cape Breton Club member and the Bowling Club. Eileen worked at the Halifax Dockyard during the Second World War in the decoding office and also worked for Sears Canada and raised a family of three children. She was a member of St. Catherines’s church, and an avid seamstress and knitter, as well as a keen walker up until her passing.
Survived by daughter Phylllis (Alex); sons Terry (Jackie), Dennis (Pam); sister Alma; grandchildren Matthew (Kim Goyette), Sara (Phil) Jewell, Marsha (Mike) Ball, Martin (Megan), Morgan (Amanda); great grandchildren Rian, Kaci, Lauren, Isla, Hunter, Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband John Hugh; parents; brother Tobias Russell; sister Maurina MacDonald.
Visitation Tuesday, November 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Funeral service Wednesday November 30, 11am at St Catherine of Siena Parish, Father James Wegner officiating. Private family burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
