

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marion Dorothy Ford (Boutilier) on August 19th at the age of 99. She was born in Halifax and lived and worked there through most of her life. Her death occurred at the Admiral Long Term Care home in Dartmouth where she has been residing for five years.
She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Henneberry and Melvin Boutilier. Marion was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Edward, before his death in 1990, as well as two sons, Donald and Gregory. She was also predeceased by her sister Jean, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is survived by cousins, Percy Wright and daughter Nancy, and Violet (Tiny) Fraser as well as close friend Calene Alexander of Wellington, and many other nieces and nephews.
Marion lived independently until the age of 94. She had been an active member of St James Anglican Church. She and Ed spent many years in the Annapolis Valley, where they enjoyed camping and building lifelong friendships.
Special thanks to the management and staff of The Admiral, where Marion received excellent care. Thanks to the many people who took the time to express how they will remember Marion’s kind and gentle spirit.
