Peter, Mark and Family:  I was saddened to hear of Mom's passing.  Liz and I were great friends when we lived in Halifax (now in Parrsboro).  You kids were in high school and ours were in University.  Mom taught me so much and I learned to make great bows for Christmas wreaths!!!  I still make her famous Nuts and Bolts at Christmas time.  Please pass on my condolences to your Dad who was always so very kind to we "girls" and very thoughtful to Mom.  Much love and prayers. Nancy Curleigh

The Dewar Family:It breaks my heart to write this so I can only imagine how your hearts are broken.Peter & Marc,Liz was so proud of you, always soooo proud when she was telling me stories, whether those stories were about your growing up, careers, wives and especially stories about "grandson Lochlan. Then there were the stories about her great nieces Molly and Abby" the nieces and cousins. I almost feel like I know all of you. I can tell you that she loved you all unconditionally.Liz and I have so many memories, so many laughs mostly at her expense. I always thought that Liz's greatest attribute was her ability to "laugh at herself." Those of us who had the pleasure of working with her would all agree.I now have to say good bye to Liz, no more Thursday night phone calls. I will NEVER forget Liz.Looking forward to seeing the family on Saturday.

I was shocked to hear of Liz's passing. We attended at St. Mary's school together. Condolences to the family.

I was sadden to hear of Liz's passing. I worked with her at the Student Assistance Office. She was very caring towards the students and very fun to work with she had a wonderful sense of humor and she spoke often about sons and their adventures. She had many talents from crafts to cooking, she was a lovely lady who I am sure will be missed friend's and family.

 Dale Esau.    I was so sad to hear of Liz's passing. I worked with her at the Dept Of Education. She was full of life and we had many laughs together, she will be sadly missed by all. My heart goes out to the Dewar Family.

Peter, Marc & family....I was saddened to read of Liz's passing.   I met Liz at The Apple Tree Tole Shop many years ago & so enjoyed learning to tole paint with her at the shop & later at her home.   She was such a gifted artist & it was always such fun to take one of her classes.   Over the years we lost touch when I moved from the city but when I look at a piece of tole painting I always reflect on Liz.   Blessings to all the family at this difficult time.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Liz's passing. We have been friends for many years, our friendship started in Truro and continued to Halifax, we just recently connected again via telephone, many long chats over the past few weeks.

Marc and Peter, Although we have never met I want you to know that your Mom thought the world of both of you.  While working with her for several years with the Department of Education, we heard many, many stories that brought tears of joy to her eyes, and warmth to her heart with every story she told about you both.  Know that your Mom was such a special lady and one that so many people thought the world of.  I proudly hang a piece of her art in my home, which has been there for many years and this past week it became one of the most valuable pieces I own.  Take comfort in knowing how much she meant to so many people.

May the great memories remain in your hearts forever...she will be missed

So sorry to hear that Liz has passed away. I remember her as a spunky person living life to the full. I will never forget one day Liz was learning to ride a horse in the field between our house and Nanny and Grandad's. I was with Dad as he was giving her a few tips .I can still see and hear as the horse bolted and sped off with a screaming Liz down Robie Street. I am so sad and shocked to read of Liz's passing. I spent may hours at The Apple Tree Tole Shop with Liz and taking all her painting classes there and at her home. We were good friends and I will never forget her love of life, of being so proud of her sons, family and that wonderful laugh and smile. My condolences to Peter, Marc and all her family.

Very sadden to hear of your mother's passing.  She was a person who always spoke her mind.  I remember visiting them when they were on Aberdeen Court.  We also had another cousin that was a neighbour of hers.  I was blessed to have two cousins nearby.  I lost contact with Liz when I moved to Toronto.  The last time I saw her was at my mother's memorial service in 1995
