Muriel Bridgette Brophy

BROPHY, Muriel Bridgette – 96, of Terence Bay, passed away peacefully at White Hills Long Term Care Facility, on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Adeline (Jollimore) Little. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Johnson of Clayton Park and her sister Connie (Little) Drew of Terence Bay. She was predeceased by her husband Ervin, her daughter Sylvia (Probert); her two sons Kenneth and David; grandson Kenneth; her seven brothers: Frederick, Edward, Everett, Donald, Ward, Cecil and Stanley; three sisters Marion, Sylvia and Grace-Elizabeth. She will be lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren: Kevin, Denise, Michael, Jason, Trevor and Danny and her five great-grandchildren Luke, Jake, Paige, Madison and Nathaniel. She was a lifetime member of Star of the Sea Parish in Terence Bay where she was a choir member for many years, as well as a member of the Sea Sides Citizens. She loved playing cards and Bingo, and always had a great sense of humour. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by the many lives she touched. Her body will rest at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11th from 1-2pm for family and 2-9pm for the public. A celebration of Muriel’s life will take place at the Star of the Sea Parish in Terence Bay on Saturday, May 12th at 2:00pm, Father Dariusz (Darek) Misiolek Presiding. Committal will follow at Star of the Sea Cemetery. Following the service a reception will take place at the Terence Bay Firehall.
