

Muriel Bernadette Wills, age 68 of Halifax, passed away Saturday, March 29th at Victoria General Hospital with family and friends at her side. Born in Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Richard) Benoit. Muriel retired after spending 31 years employed as a PCW at Shannex Maplestone, formerly known as Fairview Villa. She was a hard worker and caring person who loved spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and grandchildren. She loved music and dancing. She enjoyed taking day trips and family meals especially travelling to Debert to spend time with her niece Gail (Derek) Taylor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her
Survived by daughters, Shelley (Andrew) Ross, Halifax, and Susan (Michael ) Sherwood, Halifax; brother, Gus (Joan) Benoit, Halifax; sister, Shirley (Lorne) Webber, Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co.; grandchildren, Taylor Ross, Grace and Owen Sherwood, honourary grandson, Aaron Taylor, and several nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and were her driving force during her lengthy illness.
Predeceased by her husband, Harold Richard Wills; son, Richard William Wills. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531). Memorial service to take place on Friday, April 4, at 10:30 am at St. Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax, the Rev. Father Michael Grace officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Foundation. Special thanks to the VG MICU 3rd floor nursing staff and medical team.
