

ENGRAM, Myrtle Mary – 94, Halifax, died Sunday, March 25th at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Hermitage, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Simms) Parsons. Myrtle was a homemaker most of her married life and worked in the Alteration Department of Simpson’s for many years. She was a life-long member of The Ladies Benevolent Association of Canada and was Grand Mistress for Canada in the 1970’s. She was a long-time member of St. James Anglican Church, a life-long member of the ACW and a member of the IODE since 1957. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Street (Robert), son, Eric (Nancy), brother, Albert Parsons (Bessie); sisters-in law, Annie Gaulton, Mary Parsons, Susie Parsons, and Lillian Cutler; brother-in-law, Ed Colborne; grandchildren, Heather Romilly (George), Susan Street (Chris Fralic), Ann Marie MacDonald (Danny), Michael Engram, Jason Engram (Alana); 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence A. Engram, brothers, Jim, Cecil, Stan and sister Marjorie. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at St. James Anglican Church (at the Roundabout) at 11:00am on Friday, March 30, with a reception to follow in the Church Hall. Family flowers only.
