

Niki Klironomos, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and relatives, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was born on November 11, 1939 to Trifon and Labrini Koskolos.
Niki was born and grew up in Amaliada, Hlias Greece. Seeing the long term effects of post World War II Europe and a disastrous civil war she moved to Athens, Greece to pursue a better life.
Continued turmoil in an unstable country, following the lead of two of her sisters, Bessie and Tasia, she immigrated to Halifax, Canada in 1967, where she started a new chapter.
With a short stay in Halifax, she moved to Montreal, Quebec, and met and married her husband, Emmanuel Klironomos, on April 30th 1972. They were happily married for 45 years. Niki loved the beach (Kourouta), walking, and had a great flare for interior decorating and gardening.
She was most known for her Sunday meals that garnered the attention of many around her and on social media. Her love of cooking will always be remembered, there wasn't a dish she couldn't master!
She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister.
She was predeceased by her sister, Georgia Tsafouros on Feb 2, 2017.
Niki is survived by her spouse, Emmanuel Klironomos; her two sons, Konstantinos (Tino) and Trifon (Terry), her sisters, Xariklia, Tasia (Chris), Teri (Trifon) and Bessie (George); her loving nieces and nephews and numerous relatives in Canada, USA and Greece.
A Funeral Service will be held at St George Greek Orthodox Church, 38 Purcells Cove Road at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 9, 2017. A Burial will follow that afternoon at Fairview Cemetery Bedford Hwy.
A visitation will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, Nova Scotia, between 6:00 – 9:00 pm on March 8 2017.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada or St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Halifax
