Nora Eileen (Flinn) Mulcahy - Regretfully, we announce the death of Nora on Friday, September 30, 2011. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at Melville Lodge. Born in 1922, she was the daughter of the late Timothy J. Flinn and H. Beatrice (Robinson) Flinn. She loved to swim and she could be found at St. Mary’s Boat Club in her earlier years joining her many friends in the activities there. Nora spent her life in Halifax where she worked at Airport Transfer and Hertz. However she happily retired from these positions to take on her favourite role of looking after her Grandson. She had great faith and was a long time member of ST. Theresa’s Parish in Halifax enjoying not only the spiritual life but the many varied social activities with bowling being a major pleasure. Later she worked the Senior’s dinner for many years at the Church and enjoyed the company of her friends that she made there. She and Dad loved to travel and particularly loved following their grandchildren across Canada to Victoria, Windsor and Burlington where they were greeted with open arms by the kids. Mom was predeceased by Dad, Thomas, her brothers, Dennis (Bus), Edward, John, Timothy (Porky) and only sister Helen. She is survived and will be missed by Pat (Penny), her grandchildren, Craig (Julie), Winsloe, PEI, Kimberly (Chris), Mississauga ON, and Scott (Jessie), Mount Uniacke, NS.
