Marshall, Norma Lucy, age 81 passed away on Thursday June 12, 2025, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was born and raised in Upper Kennetcook and as a young adult lived in Halifax where she worked at Maritime Medical. She met the love of her life, Earl “George” Marshall, and the loving couple married on August 1, 1964.
They began their life together in the Halifax area before moving to Upper Kennetcook where they raised their three children until moving to Lower Sackville in 1980. Just prior to this move, she began her 22 yr. career with the Provincial Department of Transportation until she retired at 58. After retirement, she and her husband George returned to Hants County, living in Enfield and then Barr Settlement. Once it was time to live closer to the city, she moved back to the Halifax area. After losing the love of her life in 2021, she moved to Parkland Independent Living in Halifax, where she met new friends and enjoyed social activities.
Norma’s loving and giving spirit will be greatly missed by all. Her family meant the world to her. She was selfless in every way. She loved to cook, always ready to share a meal without a blink of an eye. Starting in her younger years and throughout life, she had an active role in her Church, Sunday school, school PTA, and Girl Guides. While raising her three young children and to stay close to home, she became a community caregiver for seniors in the community. She truly had a heart the size of a mountain.
Norma is survived by son, Michael Marshall (Alisa); daughter, Linda Marshall Leroux (Jon); son, Doug Marshall (Terri); brother, Bill Lantz (Anne); sisters Jean Bond, Brenda White (Harley); grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan), Alisha (Rob), Nicole (Aerion), Stephen (Stephanie), Ian, Danielle (Patrick), Nathan (Alyssa); step grandson, Tyler (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Theresa, Parker, Adeline, Sylvie, Charlotte, Eli, and Ivy.
