

Born November 19, 1948 passed away January 25, 2024. Born in Halifax to Ralph and Adele (nee Miller) Sawler. After high school at Halifax West, Norman became a member of IBEW Local 625 in 1967. He pursued a career as an electrician, and received his Red Seal in the 1970s. For the duration of his career, Norman worked at Easco Electric. After retirement, Norman worked for IBEW teaching Basic Motor Control for JACT until he became ill.
Norman enjoyed travelling the world with his wife. Together they have visited 59 different countries. In his free time at home, Norman enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Norman T. and friend Clyde Crews. He was an avid gardener of both produce and flowers.
Norman is survived by his wife Diane (nee Harnish), sons Norman T. (daughter Jada) and Trevor (wife Michelle and children Hunter and Alexis). Also surviving are siblings Bonnie d’Entremont (Vincent), Jeannette Miller, Roy Sawler (Darlene), Karen Sawler and Betty Lou MacFadden (Bill).
Diane would like to thank her neighbor and friend Ken Bennett for all the support and assistance he gave Norman during his illness and the hard work attending to the property.
Also thanks to the RCMP, paramedics, fire departments for their assistance and quick response.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of JA Snow Funeral Home. A visitation will take place at the funeral home on 339 Lacewood Drive on Thursday February 1, 2024 at noon with a service to follow at 2pm.
