Patricia Jane Fiske

Patricia Jane Fiske (Tish) died peacefully March 29,2021 at Parkstone Enhanced Care. Born June 24, 1949, she was the eldest of five children of John Raymond Fiske and the late Lois Allyne Fiske (MacNearney). For our dear ‘Tish’, she has finally found peace. The challenges she faced from birth would crush most other souls. She taught us how to be happy by just being with her, as she shared how she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved all candy, hamburgers, pizza and Pepsi. Earlier in her life, she was fairly- well travelled, but later especially loved long drives with the mandatory coffee stop or a banana split. Mostly though, she cherished her family. She made friends easily and enchanted them all with her infectious laughter. Most people were often humbled by her beautiful childlike spirit. We will celebrate the life she led and the lessons she gave us when we can all be together again. The best gift she gave us was her very life. She inspired us to do, and be, better. She was a rare, extraordinary treasure. She is survived by her siblings Juliana Fiske, Jock Fiske, Sharon Fiske Muise (John) all of Halifax, and Joan Garden (John), Coldbrook. Many nieces, nephews and extended family are also mourning her loss. The family owes an enormous debt of gratitude to a legion of people, including exceptional caregivers, all of whom were supportive of Tish over so many years. Too numerous to mention, they will know who they are. Their gifts of love and kindness will never be forgotten. For those lucky enough to have known her, we are left with richer hearts and a head full of pure honey.

Our dearest Tish would be overwhelmed by the love shown to her by the special stories and memories her friends shared on her memory page. To all of those who share the footprint that Tish left in your hearts, the family would like you to know how much your support has become an ongoing gentle source of strength and comfort to us. Remembering the happy times will now become our connection to all of you.
