Patricia Mary Hawkins

Hawkins, Patricia(Pat)Mary(Quinlan), formerly of Kentville, NS, passed away at her home in Halifax on March 23, 2013. Born in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Katherine(McKeigan)Quinlan. After graduation from Mack’s Business School, she worked in Kentville as a secretary for Dr. J.P. McGrath and later in Halifax for Dr. Claude Keays. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Kentville and Saint Benedict(Our Lady of Perpetual Help) in Halifax. Pat was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband John Wesley(Wes) Hawkins, sister Eileen Quinlan, brothers Dr. John Quinlan, Donald and Edmund and niece, Patricia Jones. She is survived by nieces, Dr. Kathleen Landymore, Joan Biddulph, and Katherine Quinlan Keech, nephews, John Quinlan and Donald Quinlan, and extended family. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be in Saint Benedict Church on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:30am. Burial will be in the family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville, following the service.
