He was predeceased by his parents Val and Florence Criddle, sisters Janet McDonald and Nancy Criddle and his baby brother David. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Pat Criddle, his children Tom Criddle and Donna Criddle of Winnipeg, David Criddle and Jill Davies of Halifax and 3 granddaughters Leah Hogan (Shane), Sarah Davies (Dan Hopkins) both of Halifax and Emily Campbell of Calgary and his brand new great granddaughter Sophie Jane Hogan.
He had a lifelong interest and involvement in amateur sports as both a player, coach and manager. He spent his professional career as a Hospital Administrator in Montreal, Winnipeg and the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax.
Cremation has taken place and a reception for Dick will take place at JA Snow Funeral Home at 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm
