Rita Elizabeth Beazley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Elizabeth (Ryan) Beazley on January 26, 2021 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Mom was born in Halifax on January 11, 1923, the daughter of Cornelius Thomas Ryan and Mary Theresa Walsh.

She is survived by her daughter Sheree Ann Smith (Dale); sons Frank A. Beazley (Ann) and Cyril Thomas Beazley and daughter in law Linda Beazley. She was also very proud of her eight grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and one great great great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her first husband Vincent William Beazley, who was killed in action during World II and their daughter Beverley Marguerite Wilson. She was also predeceased by her second husband Frank Hugh Beazley and their son Stephen Vincent Beazley and their grandson Frank Edward Michael Beazley. She was also predeceased by sisters Mary Catherine Gibson, Mary Doris Ryan, Eileen Mary Ryan, Edna Louise Joyce, Marguerite Josephine Robinson and brothers Cornelius Edward Ryan and Cyril John Joseph Ryan.

Mom spent the majority of her life residing in Halifax until she moved to North East Harbour and resided with her daughter Sheree. Two years ago she moved to the Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport, NS where she received excellent care from the staff and local management. We cannot thank them enough for the excellent love and care they rendered to mom. In her younger years she worked at Sears Canada Inc. After retirement she spent many happy years at her summer home at Ingomar Nova Scotia.

A family funeral will be held at Saint Agnes Church, Mumford Rd Halifax at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 4, 2021 with Rev. Keith Billard as celebrant.
