

COLLIER, Robert “Bob”, 90, Halifax formerly of Shad Bay, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2014, in the loving arms of his son, Larry (Ruby Ann) and daughter, Cathy and beloved grandson, Jamie (Kala) in the QEII Halifax. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late John and Catherine Collier. Dad and Mom both enjoyed going to their grandson Jamie’s baseball games, travelling around the province and Canada together. Bob also loved to watch golf, the Blue Jays, and he attended every Bingo game at Parkstone Nursing Home and was known to all as Bingo Bob. Bob worked at DND for 38 years as a fire fighter then became Fire Inspector which he was so proud of. He is survived by daughters, Cathy, Mary; sons, Larry, Joe and Bobby; sister, Margaret Dunbar; and several Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his loving wife, Doris (Benoit), son-in-law, Brian Comeau, brothers, Fred, Geoff, Frank and Bill. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 14, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive. Funeral service will be held in St. Joseph’s Church, Shad Bay on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 10 am. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Shad Bay. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society.
