It is with great sadness and a broken heart that I announce the passing of Ron, my best friend and my kind and loving husband of 55 years. He passed peacefully, with me and my sister Cathy at his side, at the VG Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, as a result of a diagnosis of cancer on June 17, 2025.
During the 1980s, Ron built his own business providing repair services on major appliances in apartment buildings. He enjoyed this work until his retirement. He spent his retirement doing all the things he loved including tending his flower gardens, playing darts, social dancing, photography, day trips around the province, taking walks, and joining outings with the Whitehead family. The Whiteheads bought our home in Middle Sackville and they became like family. Ron was so happy to see the house filled with love and children. He was also a huge fan of Christmas & turkey dinners.
Left behind: wife Bev (nee Wagner) & sister-in-law Cathy, Toronto & many cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents Roy & Arlene Snyder, Pleasantville; brother Leigh Snyder Hammonds Plains & his sister-in-law Anne Snyder of Eastern Passage.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Knox United Church, 567 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, B4C 2S9 on July 26, 2025 at 11 A.M. with reception to follow.
The service will be live streamed via Facebook on Knox United Sackville Facebook page. A video of the service will be posted to www.knoxsackville.ca immediately following the live service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox United Church or the charity of your choice.
Ron will be remembered as a special & kind man who could always put a smile on your face. This was true up to the last day of his life. He had Cathy & I laughing on July 6th as he gave us his charming little boy grin.
