

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Sandra “Sandi” Benoit at the age of 77. Born on August 1, 1947, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Sandi was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Sandi was the cherished soulmate of Ron Denis, with whom she shared many unforgettable years of love, laughter, and adventure. She was a devoted mother to Troy (Pam) Benoit, Mark (Nadine) Benoit and Pam (Larry) Denis, a proud grandmother to Blake Benoit, Marisa Ross and Cali Ross. She was a loving sister to Joan (Sandy) Barnhill and Ken (Pam) MacDonald and is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and special aunt, Shirley MacDonald. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Victor and Charlotte MacDonald.
Sandi had a long and dedicated career with Farmers Dairy, where she built lifelong friendships and was known for her reliability, professionalism, and warm personality. Outside of work, Sandi had a passion for gardening, dancing and music and was a proud member of the Fairview United Church choir. She rarely missed a Toronto Bluejays game on TV and in her early years was a proud and loud hockey mom. She and Ron shared a love of classic cars and were active members of the Antique Car Club enjoying many cruises, gatherings and Car Shows in their cherished Ford Galaxy 500 alongside their many dear friends.
Her kindness, vibrant energy, and joyful nature left a lasting impression on all who met her. Sandi had a gift for making people feel loved, and welcomed—her warmth radiated through her smile, and her generous spirit.
Join us for some snacks and share stories at the celebration of Sandi’s life that will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive, Clayton Park, on Thursday, June 12th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. featuring a few words from Reverend Kevin Little. A burial service will follow in Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia, on Friday, June 13th, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Bill Johnston. There will be quite a few classic cars in the parking lot for those interested.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandi’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia who were a great source of support to the family.
