I will always remember Sheila from her days working at the former Halifax City Regional Library - she was always so friendly and interested in what people were doing.  After her retirement I would often meet her on Spring Garden Road and enjoyed those little chats as well. 
She will be missed by all who knew her.

I was very sorry to read of Sheila's death in the Chronicle Herald the other day. We met in 1968 when we worked together at the Dartmouth Regional Library and remained good friends until I moved to Yarmouth.  I always enjoyed my times with her.

With deepest sympathy.  I worked with Sheila for two years before her retirement from the library.  She brought joy to the workplace.
Since then (1998), she has sent me a  card and written a letter each Christmas.   This past Christmas, she said she had spent a lot of time in the Public Gardens reading during the pandemic.  I looked forward to meeting her there this coming summer.  Not to be, now farewell Sheila, rest in peace.

Sheila, my friend for over 50 years, fellow Librarian, travel companion on three bus tours, three cruises and many smaller excursions with friends.  No summer trip home to Nova Scotia was complete without a visit with Sheila. Most visits included one or two meals at a restaurant or sometimes takeout Chinese - in fact on one occasion I had taken a Chinese cooking class and Sheila had a small group of friends in to help and eat the results.  Covid has prevented me from visiting for two years so the next time I come home it just won't be the same.  Goodbye, my friend - I shall miss you!   Sylvia

I will miss Sheila.  I have known her for many years.  When I lived in Halifax we had many memorable meals at restaurants in various parts of the city.  On retirement I moved back  home to a Valley town and was invited by Sheila to Halifax for one weekend a year to celebrate my January birthday.  We soon found that winter was unsuitable and changed the date to May but pretended it was my birthday anyway, with a dinner party, cards and birthday cake.  I loved those dinners, when we would get together with Barbara and Terry (and in the old days Jean and Barry too) and have Chinese food and good conversation.  Sheila was always the attentive hostess, plying us with extras like cheese and a drink before dinner and gourmet coffee afterwards.

Sheila was a real city girl.  Once I invited her for a walk in the woods near my home, but that didn't turn out very well.  The path got bumpy and she had to be rescued by Terry from falling into a puddle.  After that there was no talk of forays to "the country" unless they were to a local restaurant.

So sorry to hear of Sheila’s passing. I remember her well as I lived in residence in my first year at the Mount  and got to know her then.

I will always remember working with Sheila at the Halifax Public Library.  Sheila and I talked on our lunch break and became long time friends. We enjoyed many years of shopping, dining out and lunches at her home. After my retirement , Mondays were always reserved for Sheila. 
Lovingly remembered and missed.  Rest In Peace, my dear Sheila. 



Sincere condolences to Sheila's family and her many friends. I'll always remember her warmth and kindness at many musical events. She enjoyed music so much and sharing these experiences with good friends. It was such a pleasure to have known her over the years.

my deepest sympathy to her family.  I met Sheila when I was at the Mount in 1962 and 64.  I am from Guatemala and I have good memories of her.
