

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charlotte (neé Amiro); sons Matthew (Sarah) and Daniel; daughter Kathy; grandchildren Jacob, Jared and Erin; sisters Linda, Deborah (Gordon) and Brenda, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Always active and energetic, Steve had a number of interests and hobbies. Being an avid swimmer who loved the beauty of the ocean, he took up scuba diving and enjoyed sailing. He had a passion for martial arts, earning a brown belt in Karate, and was a former member of the Atlantic Karate Club. Later in life, his passion continued with the practices of Qi Gong and Tai Chi. Having a keen love of music, Steve was a band manager in his early years and more recently began learning to play the guitar. He was a past leader with the 1st Jollimore Cub Pack. Loving to travel, he always enjoyed a good road trip, especially if there was a yard sale involved.
He had a keen interest in politics and world affairs. His knowledge of carpentry, drafting and electrical lead to a career at DND, where he spent 30 years of service before his retirement.
Steve was a huge presence in the lives of his family and friends and will be immensely missed by all.
He is predeceased by his parents Hugh and Leona Penney, daughter Jillian.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Brightwood Golf and Country Club March 21st, 1:00 pm.
