Surrounded by the love of her family, Susan passed away at the QEII Halifax Infirmary Fri Mar 25 22. Born Sep 26 79 Susan grew up in Bedford, graduated from CPA high school and studied to work in the travel industry as an agent. She also travelled across Canada and worked at a resort in Kananaskis, AB. Susan volunteered as a firefighter with the Waverley Fire Department. Susan’s beautiful smile mirrored her loving heart. She accomplished life’s greatest goal - to love and be loved! She was a fun, loving aunt to Kyle, Austin, Joshua, Alex, Lila, Luke and Will. She was a precious daughter with wit, intelligence and remarkable technology skills admired by her parents and Nanny, Gladys Daley. And a loving cat mama to her precious Tate. Brave strong Susan fended off the dark thoughts of mental illness for almost two decades until Friday. We are grateful for Susan’s life with us. Our hearts are broken with loss. We are thankful for the professional compassionate care we received from paramedics, police and the QEII ER team. Susan is survived by her parents, Doug and Linda Stewart and incredibly supportive siblings; brother, Steven Stewart (Tanya), sister, Trisha Munroe (Mike) and long-time friend, Greg Maley. Immediate family will gather to celebrate Susan’s life. To honor Susan’s memory consider making a donation to the QEII Foundation for transforming the QEII Psychiatric Emergency Care Suites, or a charity important to you.
