Theresa Gloria Westhaver

Theresa Gloria Helen Westhaver, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11th, 2020 at the QEII in Halifax, N.S. with her devoted husband Allen by her side. She was born in Grand Desert, Nova Scotia October 28, 1934.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents Albert and Berthlie LaPierre and her sister Josephine. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Allen, her daughter Jennifer (Randy), and special cousin Stella Bonang. The family would like to thank the Emergency staff at the QEII for their care and kindness to both Theresa and Allen.

Theresa worked at the Law Courts, the Nova Scotia Premier’s office and Canavan’s Insurance, and enjoyed spending her leisure time at the cottage in Prospect Bay. In her younger days, she loved to go dancing – at the Nurse’s Ball, the Policeman’s Ball, and she and Allen were always out on the town dancing on New Year’s Eve with dear friends Dot and Earl. And she enjoyed dancing the jitterbug with Uncle Ron. Theresa and Allen also loved travel – Hawaii, New York and many trips to Boston. In her later years, she and Allen loved going to the Casino.

Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, a ceremony will be held in private with the family.
