It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear Tom, who had a long courageous battle with mental illness. Tom passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015.
He grew up in Lower Sackville, where he and his younger brothers enjoyed playing sports; baseball being Tom’s favourite. He was known for his fun spirit, magnetic personality, animated story telling, and the barley green. His friends were like family and his mother treated them like her own. Tom loved his family so much, his dog Brandy, and spending time with his niece and nephews. Tom’s passion was helping others; he wanted to make a difference.
He worked for Canada Post in Halifax and Calgary. Tom treasured AA for the support it gave him. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by those he touched.
Tom is survived by his mother, Bobbie Coffin-Cameron (Matthews) (Ken his step-dad), his father, Tom Coffin (Janet), brothers, Daniel (Wendy), & Jonathan (Margaret), nephews, Cameron, Bennett, William, and niece, Violet.
The celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive (902-455-0531) Halifax. Donations in memory of Tom can be made to AA or the SPCA.
