Hardiman, Thomas Allen, age 51, of Prospect, passed away August 19, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom maintained his sense of humour and wit and made others laugh when they wanted to cry. Tom enjoyed tinkering with cars, lawn mowers, chainsaws, and building things with whatever was at hand, just like his father. He worked in the sheet metal and flooring trades, auto repair business, and was part owner/operator of T and M Fish & Chips in Middle Sackville.
He is predeceased by his father, Gerald and brother, Danny. Tom is survived by his mother, Jean; brothers, Stephen (Julie), George (Lois), Pat, Paul (Nadine), Micheal (Graham), and sister, Nora (Danny).
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531) from 5-7 pm on Friday, August 22, 2014. Funeral service will occur at St. Joseph, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Shad Bay on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10 am.
Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the VG Hospital.
