Verna was a dedicated wife and mother and devoted herself to home and hearth. She was a lifelong member of the United Church; singing for over thirty years in the United Memorial Church choir.
She is mourned by her second husband, Wendell; son, Rev. Gary (Jean); daughter, Susan; grandsons, Chris and Sean; granddaughter, Levonne (Josh); brothers, Marshall, Wallace, Glen; sisters, Gladys, Helen, Margaret, Gloria, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Clyde R. Myatt; brothers, Gordon, Arthur and Herman; sisters, Dora and Marie.
Service will be held Thursday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (902-455-0531) with a reception will follow. Donations in memory of Verna may be made to Feed Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.
