Wavey Brown

BROWN, Wavey (Grandy). – 77, of Spryfield, passed away at the Sagewood on Friday, November 25, 2011. Born in Garnish, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Alice (Thorne) Grandy. She was retired from Sears after 30 plus years. She was also a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed gardening and she especially enjoyed children. She is survived by daughters Susan Brown-Webb (Phillip); Carol-Anne Piecznski (Larry); sons Robert W.; Wallace (Christine). She is also survived by sisters Elizabeth (Ray) Abbott; Marves Mitchell; brothers Curtis (Clara); Earl (Almeda), 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister Dinah and brothers Howard, Ronald, Willis and Douglas. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Rev.
