

Born in Summerside, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Victor and Edna (Dicks) Chaisson.
He was a graduate of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. Farming was his passion, not his destiny. Life’s path led him from Building Supplies to Construction to Restaurants and for the past 20 years Real Estate, as owner of many businesses, including, Re/max Nova. He was past commissioner of the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission, life trustee of the Canadian Naval Memorial Trust and a strong supporter of HMCS Sackville. He was loved by his family and respected by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Adams); three daughters, Denise (Kevin) Cail, Virginia; Heather (Doug) Dow, Fall River; Sandra (J.C.) Chaisson-Cormier, Fall River; two sons, Victor (Cindy), Toronto; Michael (Julianne), Fall River; one step-son, Stephen (Monica) Bellefontaine, Halifax; sister, Catherine (Ed) Baker, Bedford; three brothers, Edward (Ruth), Seabright; Victor (Joan), Hope, B.C.; Michael (Anne), Charlottetown, P.E.I.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by one son in infancy; a sister, Joyce Forman; a brother, Donald.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 21st from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, where funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, September 22nd with Rev. Tom Woods officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date.
