

Winston Lawrence LePage, 71, of Bedford, Nova Scotia passed away November 25, 2012 at the Arborstone Enhanced Care Nursing Home on Purcell’s Cove Road. Born in Ontario, he was the son of Roselyn (Woodruff) and Joseph LePage. He moved to Halifax to join the navy, where he met his wife, Laura of 45 years. After 12 years in the service, he left the navy to start his own real estate company in the Bedford/Sackville area. Throughout these years he was a member of the Rotary and Lions Clubs and assistant coach to his youngest daughter’s basketball team. Winston was an avid reader and a sci-fi enthusiast.
Winston is survived by sons, Bruce (Sally), Cobourg, Ontario; Stephen (Cathy), Halifax, NS; daughters, Lauralene (Rob), Dartmouth, NS; Michelle (Nick), Upper Tantallon, NS; two sisters, Linda (Bruce), Ontario; Colleen, Ontario; brother, Jimmy (Clemence), Ontario; grandsons, William, Cobourg, Ontario; Mason, Upper Tantallon, NS; and many nieces and nephews.
Winston was predeceased by his wife Laura (Foster); brother, Glen. The family would like to thank the personal care workers and nurses of the fourth floor at Arborstone Enhanced Care Nursing Home; Winston will greatly miss his “moms” of seven years.
At the request of the family, a closed service will be held later this week. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or Feed Nova Scotia.
