Carolyn Marshall, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 56, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by her loving family in her dream home in the serene countryside, Carolyn found joy and solace in her final days, fulfilling her lifelong wish to live among nature’s beauty.
Born on November 17, 1968, in Maywood, California, Carolyn was a woman of warmth, resilience, and boundless love. She married her sweetheart, Clay Marshall, in 2006, and together they built a life filled with laughter and devotion. Carolyn was mother to her three sons, Andrew, Adam, and Larry. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In 2022, Carolyn and Clay realized their dream of moving to a home nestled in the rolling hills of the country. There, she found peace tending to her garden, and caring for her flock of chickens and turkeys; and her three beloved puppies. Her kind spirit and infectious smile left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Clay; her three sons, Andrew Wilson, Adam Wilson, and Larry Gossett; her aunts Ina Lindsay and Linda Johnson; her uncle Dennis Gallegos; and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her mother Jane Gallegos and grandmother Clara Richardson.
Carolyn’s love will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were touched by her grace. May her spirit rest in eternal peace, forever at home and in the countryside she adored.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Farina's Winery and Cafe, 420 S Main in Grapevine, Texas.
