

Jack was born April 27, 1937 in Abilene, Texas to Parents, Marvin and Irene Garrison Smith. Freddy meet Sharon Lee Smith while both were attending Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. They married and had three children. Jack served his country in the United States Army in Korea. Jack was a chemist and worked on multiple NASA projects in New Mexico including Sky Lab, Gemini, Mercury, Viking, the Shuttle Program, and the Titian Missile Program. Jack was also the President of the Jefferson County Midget Football League in the 1970’s.
Jack is survived by: Daughter, Larissa Smith of Jonesboro, Texas; Sons, Larry James and wife Diane Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tobin Smith of Jonesboro, Texas; Grandchildren: Sharon Smith and Morgan Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Brother-in-law Don Spivey of Comanche, Texas and Numerous Nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by: Wife, Sharon Smith; Parents, Marvin and Irene Smith, Brother, John Smith and Sister, Jeanette Spivey.
Memorial Services for Mr. Smith will be held at a later date.
