

James Michael Chambliss, 69, died October 26, 2012. A graveside Memorial will be held at Live Oak Cemetery, Saturday November 3, at 2 p.m. Provided will be a lead vehicle at Riley Funeral Home parking lot in Hamilton from 1 until departure at 1:30 for those who would like to follow to the cemetery.
Mike was born May 4, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas the son of James Walter Chambliss and Emma Jo Riley Chambliss from Hamilton, TX who preceded him in death.
Mike attended Lake Worth High School prior to serving in the U S Air Force from 1961 until 1965. He was employed by Bell Helicopter before opening his own automotive shop in Lake Worth. In 1992 he moved to Hamilton to begin yet another business as a Welding Fabricator and was known for his excellent quality and superior product. It can always be said of his work, "A job well done". His enjoyment in life was sailing, working and giving to others, and spending time with his family and friends on the Leon River.
Survivors include his loving companion Pamela Nobles, step-daughters Nichole Basak (husband Paul) of Temple, and grandchildren Nicholas and Peyton, Beth Pace of Rogers, Arkansas, Kathryn Baker of Hamilton and grandson Gabriel, brother Joe Anthony Chambliss and wife Jayne of Hamilton, daughter Jo Ellen Chambliss of Fort Worth, adored granddaughter Sabrina, uncle Jack Riley of Winter Park, Florida and a loving community of friends. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all, and his memory will live forever in our hearts.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans who have faithfully served our country in support of the price they paid to provide us our freedom.
