children. Larry was born December 18, 1941 in Meridian, Texas to Albert Loyal Sullivan and Mabel Clara Brake. Larry grew up in the Hamilton area going to school in Fairy. He moved to Dallas for work and earned his trade degree in tool and die making. He was an outstanding craftsman. He could make just about anything. He opened his own successful tool and die company in Duncanville.
In 1993 an unfortunate accident left him disabled and unable to continue to work. He ended up selling his business and moving back to Hamilton in 1996. He became active in the community attending a few of the local churches and was known for his classic cars. Anyone who knew Larry, knew he loved to tinker in his shop and drive his cars around to the many car shows in the area.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mabel, brothers Billy (infancy) and
Arthur Sullivan, sisters, Alice Bridges and Lois McKeever.
He is survived by his son, Alan (Sam) Maraist of Weatherford, Tx, and daughter, Laura (Dan) Liddell of Chippewa Falls, WI, 6 grandchildren, Matthew (Julie) Jerrell of Louvigne du Desert, France, Caitlin (Garrett) Moon, of Seattle, WA, Erin (Christopher) Young of Corvallis, OR, Conor Maraist of Portland, OR, Sidney (Matthew) Maletto of Eau Claire, WI, and Ryan Liddell of Eau Claire, WI, 2 great-grand children Theo and Liam Jerrell of Louvigne du Desert, France.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton, Tx. A procession of classic cars to the gravesite in Meridian will follow. You may visit the family viewing at 10:00 am prior to the service.
