Lucille McAnally, born November 29, 1929, in Marietta, Oklahoma, to Albert and Flora McAnally, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in Garland, Texas. She was one of seven children raised in Hamilton, Texas. A gifted student, she skipped seventh grade and went on to graduate with a business degree from Tarleton State University.
She married John Sisemore, a devoted husband, and together they raised three daughters in Dallas, Texas: Sharon McLaughlin (Travis), Alydia Hoss (Gary), and Dr. Laurie Holley (Ace). In 1970, John was transferred by Ford Motor Company to Atlanta, Georgia. He passed away at age 49 from heart disease in 1974. Shortly afterward, Lucille returned to Dallas with her youngest daughter, Laurie, to be closer to family. As a single mother, she built an impressive career at Lennox Industries, where she worked for 20 years as executive assistant to the company president.
During her time at Lennox, Lucille met Adrian “Ade” DeHaan. They married and moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, where they enjoyed more than 20 happy years of retirement filled with lake views, golf, active involvement in their community and church, and many cherished friendships. As Ade’s health declined, they moved back to Dallas to be near family. Ade passed away in 2020.
Lucille is survived by her three daughters; eight grandchildren — Valerie Crabtree, Adrienne Mageors, Sie McLaughlin, Amanda Baugher, Taylor Hoss, Whitney Hoss, Olivia Holley, and Madelyn Holley — and ten great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, warm heart, and wonderful sense of humor, especially her love of telling a good joke. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and joy.
