Phyllis “Darlene” West stepped into Glory, free of the pain of this world on November 16, 2021. Darlene was born on January 3, 1938 to James A. and Marie Goble in Mineola, TX. She was married to Robert C. West on October 5, 1956 in Odessa, TX.
Darlene enjoyed serving the Lord in any capacity she could. She especially enjoyed working in the nursery, the church office and working with Senior Adults. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that extends to her children, and her children’s children. Those left behind to cherish her faith, her smile, and her love include Robert, her loving husband of 65 years, and their 4 children, Cindy and Bob Gaitley of Colorado Springs, CO; Michael and Paula West of Henderson, TX; Kenda and Chuck Lackey of Hamilton, TX; and Valerie West of Hamilton, TX; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James B. Goble.
Services will be Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:00pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, TX under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.
