It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Charles Hoague, a beloved figure in the bowhunting community and a cherished, father, grandfather, and friend. Robert leaves behind his spouse and friend, Debbie and a step-daughter, Breanna Bullard and her husband, Landon Bullard. Robert was a caring grandfather to his two grandsons, Champ and Beckett Bullard. Robert's journey was one of passion, determination, and profound wisdom, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, Robert's thirst for knowledge and adventure led him to pursue various academic and entrepreneurial endeavors. He studied Economics at Rollins College, Sociology at Florida State University, and earned his MBA from the University of Dallas. Additionally, he nurtured his love for music at Orlando Junior College, where he studied Rock and Roll, Blues.
In 1996, Robert embarked on a groundbreaking venture by founding Bowhunting.Net, a testament to his visionary spirit and dedication to his craft. Under his leadership as Publisher, Bowhunting.Net blossomed into the premier destination for bowhunting enthusiasts worldwide, boasting 25,000 pages dedicated to bowhunting and archery. Robert's tireless efforts and innovative approach garnered widespread recognition, with the website attracting nearly a million unique visitors annually.
Throughout his illustrious career, Robert served as President of Sticks N Limbs Camouflage and Camo Clan Corp., demonstrating unparalleled dedication and expertise in the camouflage industry.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Robert cherished his time in nature, pursuing his passion for bowhunting. He expressed his desire for one final wild turkey grand slam, a trophy buck surpassing his previous achievements, and the return of his cherished 1959 cherry tiger-stripe Les Paul guitar.
Robert Charles Hoague's impact extended far beyond the bowhunting world; he touched the lives of countless individuals with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his passions. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the bowhunting community he so profoundly influenced.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Robert found immense joy in the outdoors, particularly in the company of his grandson, Champ Bullard. Together, they shared countless adventures, with Robert imparting his love for the wilderness and instilling a deep appreciation for the outdoors in Champ.
