Roberta Lousie Sloane, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Feburary 19th,2026 at the age of 85. She was born on August 23, 1940, in New Jersey, and throughout her life was known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and deep love for her family.
She met the love of her life in 1958 and married him on June 29, 1959. She followed her husband, Robert, across the world to Germany during his military service, where they welcomed three children. The family later moved to Hamilton in 1973, where she made her home for the rest of her life. Roberta worked at Walls before opening her own dog grooming and boarding business, which she proudly operated until her retirement in 2009. She also had a passion for raising and showing German Shepherds.
Roberta found joy in sewing, tending to her garden, and participating in the many community groups she cherished. Her greatest pride was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, along with all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her children, Bob and Pam Sloane of Whitney; Becky and James Thompson of Hamilton; and Scott Musgrove of Hamilton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rob and Jesse Sloane of Hamilton; Kristy and Cody Green of Big Springs; Jessie Musgrove of Hamilton: Wendy Jones of Hamilton:, and Melody Smith of Hamilton, along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Sloane; her son, Justin Sloane; her daughter, Ellen Sloane; and her grandson, Michael Musgrove.
