Sherry Lynn Becker

She was born in Gatesville the daughter of Joe and Ora Lee Henager. Sherry graduated in 1978 from San Saba High School and attended Texas State Technical College in Waco. In June 1979 she married Scott Becker from Houston. She worked as an accounting clerk for a pharmaceutical company in Houston for five years. She later moved to San Saba and in August 1999 married Tommy Joe Gage. During that time some of her favorite activities included gardening, fishing and drawing.

In 2019 she became a resident of Focused Care at Hamilton. She enjoyed making daily rounds handing out Hershey chocolate kisses to the other residents. She liked making trips to the dollar store to purchase craft supplies to make gifts for others. We are thankful for the staff of Focused Care and Solaris Hospice who took wonderful care of her during her time there.

She was preceded in death by parents Joe and Ora Lee Henager and husband Tommy Joe Gage. Sherry is survived by daughter Pam Nixon of Mabank, sister Cathey Jennings and husband Ron of Granbury, sister Linda Wilson and husband Lu of Dublin, three granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

No services are planned. The family will have a private ceremony.
