

Allene moved from Kentucky to Fort Wayne, Indiana as a young women. She lived in a rooming house that was owned by her future mother-in-law. She worked as a teletype operator until she met and married her first husband, Russell Moore. To this union were born three children, Terry Moore, Stephen Moore, and Pamela (Moore) Martin. Allene devoted her life to caring for her children and her family. Her hobby for many years was collecting angel figurines. She spent countless hours looking at the angels, dusting them and reflecting from where they came from or who gave her each one. For every birthday, Christmas or holiday that generally included gift giving, she expressed that it was complete if she got one angel.
Russell and Allene moved to Hamilton, Texas in 1978. She continued to devote her life to her husband and cared for him until his death on October 28, 1993. Allene met and married Richard Davis. Richard deeply cared for Allene and she deeply cared for him. She stood by his side through illnesses until his death. Allene moved to Gatesville, Texas in 2005 to be nearer to family. She developed a new found and loyal friend, her dog Buddy. In 2011, she moved to McGregor, Texas to reside at the Westview Manor Nursing Home. She made several friends there and the staff expressed that they delighted in her smile. Preceding her in death include her two husbands, her mother, Ida Ducharme, her father, Price Estes and a grand-daughter, Amber Lynn Gooley. Survivors include her three children, son Terry Moore and wife, Kim of Indianapolis, Indiana, son Stephen Moore of Hamilton, Texas, and daughter Pamela Martin and spouse Gary Wells of Gatesville, Texas, sisters Evelene Franklin and Faye Patton of Logansport, Indiana, brother Bill Estes of Logansport, Indiana. She has six grand-children, Jennifer Herendeen and spouse Andrew of Katy, Texas, Carrie Ballinger and spouse Michael of Indianapolis, Indiana, Josh Moore and Stacy Moore of Hamilton, Texas, Alicia Ayres and spouse Corey of Gatesville, Texas and Aaron Gooley of Kerrville, Texas, She has six great-grandchildren.
The family wished to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Westview Manor, Dr. Kelley Reynolds and Janet Ellor, GNP for their compassionate care in the last two years of her life.
