

John Raymond Burgess 64, (JB) went to his heavenly home on August 8 th , 2019 after a battle with cancer.
John Burgess (JB) fiancé, father, brother, son of the late Cecil Burgess, and Mary Kay (Roach) Burgess
was born on August 27, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio.
“Babe, my future, my life, my love, my breathe I breath, I feel so lost without, my heart hurts and I will

“We lost a Treasure on this Planet when my DAD died. There will not be a minute that goes by that I
won’t miss him” says Brandon Burgess son to John Burgess
John survived by fiancé Sue, son Brandon Burgess, sister Barb Clough (Burgess) brother in law Rick
Clough, Twin brother James Burgess and Denise, nephew Ricky & Joni Clough and family, niece Beth &
Clem Vaughan and family. Extended family John, Veronica, Richard, Jacklyn, Nick, Amber, Juan and
grandchildren.
December 26 th 1981 John became a father welcome to the world Brandon John Burgess “you just made
my world a better place, Oh how I love you son, together we got this and together we did it”
In June of 2014 John and Sue meet, and from there they built their world their lives a love without
ending .
Many adventures of John JB Burgess
John grew up in Ohio with his siblings Barb and Jim, many cousins and many friends. John loved fishing,
camping, skiing, surfing, off road riding (although there were a few accidents his friends would still ride
with him) Johns uncles (from the Roach family) worked the trains/railroads John shared how he and his
cousins would play on the train tracks and get a whooping for doing so. John graduated from Lakewood
High School. John and his Yellow boat wow many stores about one of how he barely made it back to
shore after a storm “I did it didn’t I” John was a horse at one time too after many times of being thrown
his passion for horses changed. John also took pilot training lessons Cessna 152 model. After a very cold
winter in Ohio John moved to Ca “I’m out of here I’m done with this weather” and left. John a very hard
worker all his life he started at the age of 14 working at a parts store owned by Cecil Burgess (his father).
Later John worked as was mechanic for years. John was president of AARP (well at least he thought he
was) he would say if your late or don’t show up you was getting a write up or suspended from the next
AARP night
John bought a business Burgess Water Trucks owner operator, John worked with Cal fire when called to
help support the fire department in putting out the wildfires. As John said “the many homes, the wildlife
and forest lost was heart breaking to see”
John one very kind human and left a smile in everyone’s heart he touched. John will surely be missed by
his loved ones and friends. He is at peace now with no more pain no more suffering
We cannot always Understand why things happen the way they do but it is comforting to know that God
will take care of you. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone for apart of us went with
you when God called you home. Love you
Services for John Burgess will be held on Saturday, September 7th @ 1pm at kern Mortuary, 16120 Main Street, Hesperia,CA 92345
