1957, in San Francisco, CA and died just after his 62nd birthday.
John was admitted to UCLA at age 18 and had an unfortunate motorcycle accident that
prevented him from attending the university. He owned and operated several businesses. He
started a movie rental store in the 1980s called MovieLand Video. He then opened a Farmer’s
insurance business for over 15 years. After retiring from Farmer’s insurance he worked several
other jobs and was a truck driver for the past two years.
John was a loving husband and father who loved to cook fancy meals for his family and
worked to keep his home well maintained. His favorite pastime was spending his weekends
with his wife Peggy seeing plays, concerts, movies, and visiting restaurants.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Olson; his sons, Mitchell and Jonathan Olson; brother, Eric
Olson; sister, Elisa Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2 pm at the home of
John and Peggy Olson.
