Bob practiced karate, was an accomplished guitarist and visual artist. In the early nineties, Bob went back into the Army. Since he had a strong aptitude for languages, he went to the Presidio of Monterey, home of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. During this time, he studied Arabic and German and was thereafter stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado.
In 2009, Bob began working in education as a substitute teacher and joined the team at Options For Youth Charter School in 2010. Throughout his time at the school, he truly enjoyed helping students and interacting with the team of teachers, administrators and support staff.
